Ubiquiti AF-5G34-S45: When Size Matters
In directional radio, a simple physical law applies: The larger the surface area of the dish, the more signal is captured.
With its 105 cm diameter, the AF-5G34-S45 is a true heavyweight. It focuses the signal so strongly that you can transmit high data rates even over distances of 50, 80, or 100 kilometers.
Slant 45 Against Interference
Especially with long-range links, you pick up a lot of "noise" from the environment.
Thanks to Slant 45 Polarization (the antenna transmits in an "X" format instead of a "+" format), this dish blocks out a large part of the interference from foreign WiFi networks. This decisively improves the SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio).
Sniper Precision
With a beamwidth of only 3 degrees, this antenna behaves like a sniper rifle. Alignment requires patience and a stable mount, but once the link is established, it is extremely hard to interfere with ("jamming" resistant) and very secure against eavesdropping.
Mounting Note
Due to its size and wind load, this antenna requires a stable mast. The included mount features fine adjustment to align the narrow beam exactly.
