Is the connector waterproof enough for my outdoor Antenna?

Thanks to its robust screw lock, the TNC connector offers you excellent protection against wind and weather and is significantly more robust than a BNC connector. However, for a 100% waterproof outdoor installation, we recommend additionally protecting the finished connection with self-amalgamating insulation tape. Better safe than sorry!


What's the difference between this TNC connector and an RP-TNC connector?

Super important question! This standard TNC connector has a solid pin in the center. An RP-TNC (Reverse Polarity) connector looks identical from the outside but has a socket instead of a pin inside. So, be sure to check which connection your device needs, as the two are not compatible!


Does the TNC connector also fit my thinner RG58 Cable?

Unfortunately, no. This Coaxial Connector is specialized for Antenna Cables with an outer diameter of approx. 5.4 mm, such as H-155 or RF-240. It won't fit thinner cables like your RG58 – the connection would be unstable, and the signal quality would suffer significantly.
