The Poynting MIMO-4 is the evolution of the legendary MIMO-3 series, developed specifically for the transport sector. This means: It must withstand vibrations, wind, salt water, and even impacts from branches. The model V2-04 focuses purely on cellular reception, providing four independent antenna elements for this purpose.
Why 4x4 MIMO on the Roof?
Modern routers like the Teltonika RUTX50 or Netgear Nighthawk use four antenna ports to receive data streams in parallel. With this antenna, you route these four connections cleanly to the outside. While the antenna performs best on metal roofs (ground plane), its design ensures excellent performance even on fiberglass roofs (RVs), independent of a ground plane.
IP69K – As Tough As It Gets
Many antennas fail when faced with a pressure washer. The MIMO-4 is IP69K certified. It is absolutely dust-tight and withstands high-pressure water jets. Additionally, it is rated IK10, making it extremely impact-resistant. An investment for the long haul.
