Do you need to point this antenna at a cell tower?
Can you use the antenna directly with your laptop for better reception?
Unfortunately, it doesn't work directly with a laptop. This antenna has two special SMA Coaxial Connectors, which are designed for 4G Routers, M2M / IoT Antennas, or cellular modems. Your laptop typically doesn't have these connections. So, you'll need a compatible device in between.
Is the antenna also suitable for receiving 5G networks?
This antenna is a champion for 4G (LTE), 3G, and GSM. While it covers some lower 5G frequencies, it's not optimized for the super-fast 5G bands in the high-frequency range. If you want full 5G power, we recommend a dedicated 5G Antenna.
What does '2x2 MIMO' mean and why does the antenna have two cables?

Yes, absolutely! Its extremely robust and weather-resistant design (IP65) is perfect for Vehicle Antennas. Since it receives signals from all directions, it ensures stable 4G reception even while driving, without you having to constantly re-align it for your Yacht / Camper / Motorhome.
The 30 cm cable is too short for you. Can you simply extend it?
Yes, you can do that with suitable SMA Coaxial Pigtails or extension cables. But remember: every additional cable weakens the signal a little. So, keep the extension as short as possible to get the full performance from your new Antenna Cables.
