MikroTik mAP: Small, but Mighty
Don't be fooled by the size. The mAP (micro Access Point) is barely larger than a matchbox, but inside runs the same operating system as on MikroTik's large Cloud Core Routers. This makes it a favorite among IT administrators. It can be configured as an Access Point, Client, Router, Bridge, or Repeater.
Ingenious Power Supply
The unique selling point of this device is its power options. There is hardly any router more flexible.
* Input: You can power it via the classic DC jack, via passive PoE, or 802.3af/at PoE on the first port with 10V to 57V. Alternatively, it also runs via the Micro-USB port (e.g., on a laptop or with a power bank).
* Output (PoE Passthrough): The second Ethernet port passes through exactly the voltage that is applied at the input. So if you feed in 48V, 48V comes out. If you feed in 24V, 24V comes out.
This makes it perfect for quickly configuring or operating a MikroTik SXT antenna or an IP camera without pulling extra cables.
Perfect Travel Companion
Thanks to the Micro-USB power supply and the compact dimensions, the mAP is the ideal travel router.
* In the hotel room: Connect the mAP via cable to the hotel network and create your own secure WiFi for all your devices.
* VPN Tunnel: Since RouterOS is on board, the mAP can automatically establish a secure VPN tunnel to your company network or home. Your data remains safe, no matter where you are.
Connectivity Options
In addition to the two 10/100 Ethernet ports, the mAP has a Micro-USB port. Using the included OTG adapter, you can even connect a 3G/4G LTE modem here and get the router online via mobile data.
