LWO-SFPP-SR: High-Speed at Short Distance
While Single Mode modules require expensive lasers, the LWO-SFPP-SR relies on efficient 850nm VCSEL technology. This makes it the most cost-effective solution for implementing 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
It is the standard transceiver ("Short Range") found in almost every server cabinet to establish the connection between patch panel, switch, and server.
The Right Fiber: Multimode
Attention: This module strictly requires Multimode fiber cables (typically Aqua color for OM3 or Violet for OM4).
- Range on OM3: Up to 300 meters.
- Range on OM4: Up to 400 meters.
For connections between buildings (over 400m), please use the "LR" module (Single Mode).
Maximum Compatibility
The transceiver strictly adheres to the MSA (Multi-Source Agreement). It works seamlessly in hardware from manufacturers like Ubiquiti (UniFi), MikroTik, Netgear, Zyxel, TP-Link, and open switches from Cisco or HP/Aruba. Thanks to DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring), you always have an eye on the "health" of the connection (temperature, light power).
