Will this adapter also fit my standard SMA connector?

Absolutely not! Even if the thread mechanically fits, the inner conductors are exactly reversed (Reverse Polarity). You would end up connecting two pins or two sockets, and you wouldn't get an electrical connection. So, please check carefully if your device truly has an RP-SMA connector, as is common with most WiFi devices.


Will I lose signal strength or speed due to the 90° angle?

Don't worry! Theoretically, every connection has a tiny signal loss.
