Ubiquiti POE-24-24W: When 0.5 Amps Aren't Enough
Small NanoStations are content with little power. But professional base stations like the Rocket M-Series or large PowerBeams need more reserves, especially when working under load.
The POE-24-24W is the powerhouse among 24V injectors. It delivers a stable 1.0 Ampere.
Long Cables? No Problem.
An often underestimated problem: If you run a network cable over 60, 70, or 80 meters, less voltage arrives at the end (voltage drop). A standard power supply (12W) often buckles here, causing the device to reboot or hang.
With the 24 Watts of this adapter, you have enough buffer to reliably power even distant masts.
Protect Your Investment
Especially devices like the Rocket M5, often mounted at the highest points, magically attract lightning and static charge. The integrated ESD protection of the POE-24-24W safely diverts these energies into the building ground, preventing expensive hardware damage.
Important Speed Note
This injector supports 10/100 Mbps.
This is perfect for the airMAX M-Series (which usually only has 100 Mbps ports anyway).
However, do you have a modern Rocket 5AC or PowerBeam AC? Then you need the Gigabit version (POE-24-24W-G) to avoid being throttled.
