Unleash Full 5G Power: No Bottleneck Thanks to the 2.5-Gigabit Port
What good is the fastest 5G connection if your Network port slows it down? The Teltonika TRB501 solves this problem decisively. While the 5G modem allows for theoretical speeds of over 3 Gbps, the built-in 2.5-Gigabit-Ethernet-Port ensures that this power is transferred to your infrastructure without any loss. Whether you're connecting high-resolution 4K IP Cameras, providing internet to an entire production site, or transmitting huge amounts of data from the field—this gateway is designed to deliver maximum performance without compromise.
Built for Extremes: Reliability from -40 °C to +75 °C
Standard hardware fails where the TRB501 truly shines. This industrial 5G gateway, one of the premier Teltonika 4G / 5G Routers, is housed in a robust, fanless aluminum Enclosure that not only cools passively but also withstands the harshest conditions. The extreme operating temperature range of -40 °C to +75 °C, high humidity tolerance, and flexible voltage input of 9-30 VDC make it the perfect choice for installation in control cabinets, vehicles, outdoor Enclosures, and demanding industrial environments where reliability is not an option, but a necessity.
Your Direct Line to the Machine: Native IIoT Protocols Onboard
Forget complex and expensive protocol converters. The TRB501 speaks the language of your machines. With native support for industrial protocols like Modbus TCP, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM, and OPC UA, it seamlessly integrates into your existing Industry 4.0 and SCADA applications. You can directly read sensors, meters, or programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and securely send the data over the 5G Network to your central control center or cloud platform. This simplifies the architecture, reduces costs, and accelerates the implementation of your IIoT projects.
Maximum Redundancy with eSIM and Dual-SIM Failover
An uninterrupted connection is crucial for your application. That's why the TRB501 combines the best of both worlds: a permanently integrated eSIM and a slot for a physical SIM card. In the RutOS operating system, you can easily define rules for automatic failover. If the primary provider's Network fails, the signal is too weak, the data limit is reached, or you are roaming, the gateway switches to the second SIM in a flash and without interruption. This way, your application always stays online, no matter what. You maintain full control via the Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I also power my TRB501 gateway via Power over Ethernet (PoE)?
Yes, you can, but pay attention to one important detail: Your TRB501 exclusively supports passive PoE via the RJ45 port. This means you can't just connect it to a standard PoE switch (802.3af/at compliant). You'll need a suitable passive PoE Injector that supplies a voltage between 9 and 30V.
How can I best use the eSIM and the physical SIM card together in my TRB501?
It's quite simple: In your gateway's RutOS software, you define which SIM card plays the primary role. Additionally, you can set up smart rules for automatic switching (failover). For instance, if your primary SIM's Network fails or you reach your data limit, your TRB501 will switch to the second SIM in a flash and without interruption. This way, you always stay online.
What's the practical benefit of supporting industrial protocols like Modbus or DNP3?
This is a huge advantage for you! It means you can connect your industrial hardware, like PLCs, sensors, or power meters, directly to the TRB501. Your gateway 'understands' their language, can read the data, and send it directly over the 5G network to your central office or the cloud. This saves you from needing additional, often expensive, protocol converters.
Are Antennas included with the TRB501, and can I connect my own, more powerful Antennas?
Yes, we include four suitable 5G/4G stick antennas right in the box. However, for optimal reception, especially if you're installing the gateway in a metal Enclosure or if the signal is weak, we strongly recommend connecting one of our external 4x4 MIMO 5G Antennas. You can then position it perfectly in a location with a strong signal.
The gateway only has one Ethernet port. How can I still connect multiple devices via cable?
No problem! You simply connect a standard Ethernet Switch to the super-fast 2.5 Gbps port of your TRB501. You can then connect all your wired devices, like PCs, IP Cameras, or machines, to this switch, and they will all share the high-speed 5G connection.
Do I always have to be on-site at the gateway for configuration?
Not at all! Your TRB501 is one of the great Teltonika LTE / 5G Routers and is fully compatible with the Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS). This allows you to conveniently configure, monitor, reboot, and update your gateway—or even an entire fleet of them—from anywhere in the world via a web interface.
