An Access Point That Thinks Ahead (PoE-Out)
Every installer knows the problem: You want to mount an access point at the top of a mast for local coverage, plus a few directional antennas (CPEs) or IP surveillance cameras. Pulling a separate cable up for each device costs time and money.
The MikroTik OmniTIK 5 PoE solves this problem brilliantly. You only pull a single network cable up from the ground into Port 1 (PoE-In). Ports 2 to 5 act as a PoE-Out switch. Simply connect your cameras or MikroTik SXTs directly to the OmniTIK with a short patch cable, and they are immediately supplied with data and power! Matching this, MikroTik includes an extra-strong 2.5A power supply.
Seamless 5 GHz Wi-Fi (360 Degrees)
Inside the weatherproof enclosure are two powerful 7.5 dBi omnidirectional antennas. They transmit in the low-interference 5 GHz band (802.11a/n) and cover a full 360-degree area. Thanks to MikroTik's proprietary NV2 TDMA technology, the access point handles high data rates with extremely low latency even with many connected clients – perfect for Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) installations.
Extremely Robust & RouterOS Power
Rain, snow, or UV radiation cannot harm this device. The OmniTIK is designed for harsh outdoor use. It is powered by a fast 600 MHz processor and 128 MB RAM, controlled by the powerful RouterOS (Level 4). Another brilliant feature: Via the integrated USB port, you can connect a 3G/4G cellular modem to provide the entire mast setup with an automatic backup internet line!
