BATLINK Frontrunner VR400W: The Command Center
Do you know the problem? The Wi-Fi at the marina or campsite barely reaches your windshield, but inside the vehicle, the connection drops. Furthermore, many hotspots only allow a single registered device per ticket.
The BATLINK Frontrunner VR400W solves exactly this. It receives the internet signal from a Wi-Fi receiver and distributes it wirelessly to all your devices inside via its integrated access point.
Two Flexible Operating Modes
Depending on which receiving hardware you use, the Frontrunner adapts:
1. USB Mode (Direct Operation with USB Sticks Possible!):
The brilliant thing about this router: You don't necessarily need a large outdoor antenna system on your roof. You can simply plug a compatible USB Wi-Fi stick directly into the router's USB port! The Frontrunner controls the stick and uses it to connect to the campsite network. Supported chipsets and models include:
- All BATLINK TravelConnector USB variants
- MediaTek MT7610U (e.g., ALFA Tube-UAC2)
- MediaTek MT7612U (e.g., ALFA AWUS036ACM)
- RALINK RT3070 (e.g., ALFA Tube-UN, AWUS036NEH)
2. LAN Mode:
If you use a LAN-based outdoor antenna, plug it into the Ethernet port. In LAN mode, the router directly provides PoE (Power over Ethernet) Out, supplying the outdoor antenna with power straight through the network cable!
Secure and Lightning Fast in Your Own Net
Thanks to the modern 802.11ac standard, you broadcast inside the vehicle on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands simultaneously (up to 1200 Mbps). Your data is safely protected from prying eyes by WPA2/WPA3 encryption – even if you are logged into an unsecured public network.
