MikroTik ATL LTE18: When You Need More Speed
For a long time, the "LHG" (grid antenna) was the standard for rural LTE. But modern networks can do more.
The MikroTik ATL (Advanced Technology Level) is the answer to 5G-ready networks. It uses LTE, but at such a high level (Cat 18) that it beats many entry-level 5G devices.
4x4 MIMO & Carrier Aggregation
The centerpiece is the modem. It masters Carrier Aggregation (combining different frequency bands from the tower) and uses 4x4 MIMO.
This means: It uses four antennas simultaneously to receive data. This ensures not only higher speed but also a much more stable connection at the "Cell Edge."
Design Beats Weather
Classic satellite dishes or grid antennas have a problem: Wet snow sticks and blocks the signal.
The ATL has a smooth, rounded design. Snow and water simply slide off. In addition, the housing is IP54 certified and withstands corrosive sea climates. Ideal for mountain huts, coastal regions, or simply deep winter.
Power over Ethernet (PoE)
Installation is simple: You run an outdoor network cable from the router inside the house to the antenna outside. The ATL is powered via this cable (PoE injector included) and sends data back at Gigabit speed.
