NanoBeam 5AC Gen2: Your High-Performance WiFi Bridge
No more slow or unstable connections between buildings. The Ubiquiti NanoBeam 5AC Gen2 is not an ordinary Antenna, but a highly specialized WiFi Bridge designed to perfectly fulfill a single task: establishing a rock-solid Network connection over long distances. Whether you want to connect your workshop Network, implement outdoor video surveillance, or simply bring the internet to an outbuilding – this airMAX ac CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) delivers the necessary performance and reliability.
Maximum Stability Where It Counts
The secret of the NanoBeam lies in its design. It focuses radio energy into an extremely narrow beam. This has a huge advantage: interference signals from neighboring WiFi networks are simply ignored. The result is an incredibly stable and reliable connection that remains undisturbed by anything. With integrated analysis tools like the airView Spectrum Analyzer, you can always find the best and most interference-free radio channel for your Point-to-Point WiFi Radio Link Set installation.
Ingeniously Simple Setup and Alignment
Ubiquiti has thought ahead: A separate 2.4 GHz WiFi module is solely for configuration. Simply connect directly to the NanoBeam with your smartphone or laptop without disturbing the 5 GHz main connection. The intuitive airOS software and the UNMS App guide you through the setup. The precise ball joint mount and the signal strength LEDs directly on the device make exact alignment of the Antennas with each other child's play – for maximum performance of your connection.
Thoughtful Design for Professional Outdoor Use
The NanoBeam 5AC Gen2 is built for tough outdoor use. The UV-stabilized plastic housing withstands sun, rain, and snow. Power is supplied elegantly and simply via the Network cable (PoE), so you don't need a separate power outlet at the mounting location. The included Gigabit PoE adapter provides the necessary energy. This makes it the perfect airMAX ac CPE for Outdoor Video Surveillance and other demanding projects.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I use the NanoBeam 5AC Gen2 as a regular WiFi Repeater for my home WiFi Network?
No. This device is a directional radio bridge and uses a proprietary protocol. It can only establish a connection to another Ubiquiti airMAX ac Components device, not to a standard WiFi Router or WiFi Repeater.
How is the NanoBeam powered when mounted externally on a mast?
Power is supplied via the Ethernet Cables using Power over Ethernet (PoE). A suitable Gigabit PoE Injectors / Power Supplies, which feeds power into the Ethernet Cables, is included in the scope of delivery.
What exactly does 'free line-of-sight' mean?
For a stable Network connection, there must be absolutely no obstacle (not even trees, leaves, or building corners) in the direct line between the two NanoBeam devices. The so-called Fresnel zone around this line should also be clear.
Do I need one or two devices for a connection between two buildings?
You always need two devices. One is configured as a WiFi Access Points and installed at the first building, the second as a 'Station' at the target building.
Is the device suitable for outdoor operation in rain and snow?
Yes, the Enclosure is specially designed for outdoor use, UV-resistant, and built for a wide temperature range from -40°C to 80°C. For optimal protection, the use of shielded Ethernet Cables is recommended.
How do I precisely align the Antennas?
Alignment is done via the signal strength LEDs directly on the device and more precisely via the user interface (web interface or UNMS App), which offers a real-time alignment tool with signal level display.
