5 Megapixels & 24h Full Color: Details that Make the Difference
No more blurry night recordings. The TP-Link VIGI C455 is equipped with a state-of-the-art 5-megapixel sensor that delivers a resolution of 2880x1620 pixels. In combination with the extremely bright F1.6 aperture and integrated white light LEDs, this camera enables brilliant color display around the clock. Even in scenarios where Other Cameras have long switched to black and white mode, thanks to Full-Color technology, you see every detail in natural colors – a decisive advantage in identifying people or vehicles.
Intelligent AI Analysis: More Than Just Motion Detection
Conventional motion detectors often trigger at every little thing. The VIGI C455 goes a decisive step further. Its advanced, AI-powered analysis function classifies objects and can specifically distinguish between people and vehicles. Define zones for line crossing, area entry, or loitering and only receive a notification when something truly relevant happens. Not only does this save time when reviewing recordings, but it also gives you the certainty of being immediately informed of real threats. These smart features make it one of the best IP Cameras in its class.
Robust Design and Active Defense for Maximum Security
The VIGI C455 was designed for demanding outdoor use. Its solid metal housing is IP67 certified, which means it is fully dustproof and protected against strong water jets and temporary immersion. Rain, snow, or heat cannot harm it. In addition, the camera has an active defense function: upon detection of an intruder, it can automatically trigger a loud sound and bright light to deter unwanted visitors before any damage occurs. You can also directly intervene and communicate via the two-way audio function.
Flexible Installation and Seamless Integration
Installation of the VIGI C455 is extremely simple. Thanks to Power over Ethernet (PoE), you only need a single Network cable for data transmission and Power Supply. This significantly simplifies Cabling. Alternatively, a 12V DC connection is available. The camera is ONVIF-compatible and can therefore be easily integrated into existing surveillance systems and third-party NVRs. Management is conveniently done via the intuitive VIGI App, the VIGI Security Manager on PC, or directly via a recorder from the TP-Link VIGI series.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can the TP-Link VIGI C455 also capture color images at night?
Yes, absolutely. Thanks to a highly sensitive sensor, a large F1.6 aperture, and integrated white-light LEDs, the camera is specialized in delivering clear and detailed color images even in very low ambient light (24h Full-Color).
What does the IP67 certification mean for this camera?
IP67 means that the camera's Enclosure is completely dust-tight (first digit: 6) and protected against temporary immersion in water (up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes) (second digit: 7). It is therefore ideally suited for outdoor use in rain, snow, and dust.
Does the camera require a separate power connection?
Not necessarily. The VIGI C455 supports Power over Ethernet (PoE). When connected to a PoE-enabled switch or NVR, it receives power and data via a single network cable. Alternatively, it can also be operated with a separate 12V DC power supply.
Can I use the camera without an NVR recorder?
Yes, that is possible. The camera has a microSD card slot (up to 256 GB) where it can store recordings locally. You can access the camera live and view recordings via the TP-Link VIGI App or the VIGI Security Manager software on the PC.
What is the difference between 'Smart Detection' and 'People & Vehicle Classification'?
'Smart Detection' includes a range of analysis functions such as detecting line crossings or entering defined zones. 'People & Vehicle Classification' is a higher-level AI function that refines this detection by ensuring that the alarm is triggered only by people or vehicles and not by animals, shadows, or other irrelevant movements.
Is the camera compatible with surveillance systems from other manufacturers?
Yes. By supporting the ONVIF standard (Open Network Video Interface), the VIGI C455 is compatible with most third-party NVRs and Video Management Systems (VMS) that also support this widely adopted industry standard.
