The TP-Link VIGI C440I solves the biggest problem of many surveillance cameras: Poor night vision due to dirty domes. Since this Turret Camera has the lens and infrared LEDs separated (EXIR design), you get an absolutely clear image at night – even when it rains.
Why 4mm Focal Length?
You have the version with a 4mm lens here. While 2.8mm lenses make everything "small and wide" (fisheye effect), the image with 4mm looks more natural. It is the perfect middle ground: You still see enough of the surroundings, but people are much easier to recognize at 5-10 meters distance than with wide-angle cameras.
Intelligence on Board
The camera doesn't just record bluntly. It "thinks" along.
* Human Detection: Ignores cats and shaking bushes.
* Tamper Protection: Reports if someone covers or sprays the camera.
