Welcome to the Future: Wi-Fi 7 for Your Network
The Omada EAP723 is more than just an update – it's a leap into the next era of connectivity. With the power of Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), you are perfectly equipped for the demands of tomorrow. Technologies like Multi-Link Operation (MLO) allow your devices to send and receive data simultaneously over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The result: higher throughput, extremely low latency, and unparalleled stability. In combination with 4K-QAM and Multi-RUs, data packets are packed even more efficiently, noticeably increasing the overall performance of your Network – perfect for AR/VR, cloud gaming, and high-resolution streaming.
No Compromises: Full Speed with 2.5G PoE+
What good is the fastest WiFi if the cable connection is the bottleneck? The EAP723 consistently solves this problem with an integrated 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port. While a standard Gigabit port is limited to 1 Gbit/s, this connection ensures that the theoretical WiFi data rates of over 4 Gbit/s are not artificially throttled. Power is supplied conveniently and cleanly via PoE+ (802.3at). This means you only need a single Network cable for installation on the ceiling or wall, without having to worry about a nearby power outlet.
Centralized Control Made Easy with Omada SDN
The true advantage of the EAP723 unfolds in combination with the TP-Link Omada SDN (Software Defined Networking) platform. Integrate the WiFi Access Point into your system and manage it along with hundreds of other Omada devices via a single, intuitive interface. Whether you use a local hardware controller (like the OC200), a software solution on your server, or the flexible cloud controller – you have full control. Configure guest WiFi networks with a Captive Portal, optimize radio channels, and monitor Network status in real-time. Of course, you can also operate this professional WiFi Access Point in standalone mode without a controller and simply set it up via the app or web interface.
Thoughtful Design for Professional Installation
The EAP723 impresses not only technically but also physically. The slim, unobtrusive polycarbonate housing blends discreetly into any ceiling or wall installation. The included mounting kits make installation a breeze. Inside, an aluminum shell ensures optimal heat dissipation and durability. With coverage of up to 140 m² and the ability to serve over 250 clients simultaneously, this WiFi Access Point is the ideal solution for offices, hotels, educational institutions, or the demanding smart home.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do you absolutely need an Omada Controller for the EAP723?
No, you don't! You can easily set up your EAP723 in standalone mode via the web interface or the Omada app. However, if you want to use cool features like seamless roaming, a mesh network, or a central guest portal, then a TP-Link Omada Controller is the right choice for you.
What does the 2.5G port really offer you in practice?
It's simple: The 2.5G port is your ticket to full Wi-Fi 7 power! A standard 1-Gigabit port would act as a bottleneck and slow down your high-speed WiFi. With the 2.5G port, you ensure that the super-fast WiFi data rates actually reach you. The only important thing is that your Ethernet Switch also supports this speed.
Does the EAP723 also work with my older WiFi devices?
Of course! Your EAP723 is a real team player and fully backward compatible. Whether your smartphone has Wi-Fi 6 or your laptop has Wi-Fi 5 – all your devices will connect without any issues and immediately benefit from the powerful performance of the Access Point. To take full advantage of the special Wi-Fi 7 features, you will, of course, need a compatible end device.
Can I build a mesh network with the EAP723?
Yes, absolutely! The EAP723 is fully mesh-capable. This means you can wirelessly connect several of these WiFi Access Points to extend your WiFi signal to the farthest corners – without the hassle of running cables. All you need is an Omada Controller to manage the mesh network for you.
Is a standard PoE switch enough, or do I need PoE+?
You need to be careful here: The EAP723 requires PoE+ (802.3at standard). Standard PoE doesn't provide enough power, as the Access Point is quite powerful. If you connect it to a port that's too weak, it will run unstably or not at all. So, make sure your switch or PoE Injector supports PoE+!
What is the difference between the EU and US versions?
The difference lies in regional WiFi regulations. The US version is allowed to use wider radio channels, achieving a higher maximum speed on paper. The EU version, which you get here, is adapted to European regulations. But don't worry: the brilliant Wi-Fi 7 core technology and all important features are absolutely identical in both models.
