If you are experiencing issues with the Teltonika RUT950 router in a roaming network, please check your hardware first. Verify the antenna connections and any cables in use. The screw nut with a pin as the inner conductor must be on the antenna or the antenna cable.
The LED blinks red/yellow/green when the device is trying to connect to a mobile network. If it remains solid or blinks irregularly, and 1 to 5 of the signal strength indicators light up, a connection is established (Red = Edge, Yellow = UMTS, Green = 4G).
Firmware and Reset
Have you recently performed a firmware update? If so, check in the firmware menu that Bootloader v.2.0 is installed. If you retained settings during the update, we strongly recommend a reset and reconfiguration after the update.
APN Settings and Roaming
It often helps to use Connection type NDIS. Also, please disable the "Mobile Data on Demand" feature. This ensures the connection remains active at all times.
Example APN Settings (A1 Austria)
- APN: a1.net
- Username: ppp@A1plus.at
- Password: ppp
Example APN Settings (Telekom Germany)
- APN: internet.telekom
- Authentication: CHAP
- Username: tm
- Password: tm
FAQ: Teltonika Roaming
What does the red blinking LED mean?
If the LED is flashing red, yellow, and green alternately, the router is actively searching for a network and trying to establish a connection.
Should "Data on demand" be disabled?
Yes, for a stable and permanent connection, this checkbox should be removed. It is only useful for strictly time-based data plans.
