More Ports, More Possibilities
The MikroTik hAP is the logical choice when a standard router is no longer sufficient, but you are still looking for a compact and affordable device. Equipped with a 650 MHz processor and 64 MB of RAM, it handles even more complex network tasks with ease. Five network ports give you plenty of room to connect PCs, printers, or smart home bridges directly via cable.
Clever Power-over-Ethernet (PoE)
What makes this router special in its price class is its power management. You can operate the hAP conventionally using the included power supply, or power it via Port 1 using Passive PoE.
Even more ingenious, however, is Port 5 (PoE-Out): Through this port, the router can pass the power it receives on to another device. For example, you can operate a MikroTik SXT outdoor antenna on the roof or an IP camera without having to run a separate power supply for that device!
USB Port for 4G/LTE Failover
For small offices, POS systems, or the home office, an internet outage is often disastrous. The hAP features a USB 2.0 Type-A port. Simply plug in a compatible 3G/4G cellular modem. Using the powerful RouterOS operating system, you can configure the router to automatically switch to the cellular network as soon as your primary DSL or cable connection drops.
