The LigoWave LigoDLB 5-20N WLAN Bridge Set offers a reliable solution for wireless point-to-point connections over medium to long distances. The set consists of two LigoWave LigoDLB 5-20N units, which can be delivered unconfigured, pre-configured, or pre-configured with a firmware upgrade. Operating on the 5 GHz frequency band and featuring an integrated 20 dBi panel directional antenna, the devices provide a range of up to 20 km and a data throughput of up to 170 Mbps, making this set ideal for applications requiring stable connections over large distances with moderate data traffic.
The LigoWave LigoDLB 5-20N is particularly suitable for outdoor use due to its robust and weatherproof design (IP66). For optimal performance, the two units should be installed in locations where they have a clear line of sight to each other to maximize signal strength. The integrated iPoll technology enhances connection efficiency and stability, even in environments with multiple wireless networks.
If the optional configuration service is selected, the set will be delivered with individual encryption and DHCP enabled, making it ready for immediate use (Plug & Play). Power is supplied via Power over Ethernet (PoE), where the necessary power is transmitted through the network cable. The required PoE adapters are included, ensuring easy installation and quick setup.
Equipped with LigoWave's dual firmware image feature, remote software upgrades are assured even if a power failure interrupts the process. The device will restart using the prior firmware in the event of an upgrade failure.
The enclosure is made of polycarbonate plastic with UV inhibitors to provide years of outdoor exposure in direct sunlight without cracking. The DLB 5-20 was designed and tested to meet an IP-66 rating as well as vibration, temperature, drop, salt, fog, and electrical surge standards to ensure a high level of reliability unsurpassed in the industry. It is equipped with a grounding lug and a grounded 24-volt PoE to allow a professional installation, resistant to electrical surges.
