Maximum Flexibility with Ethernet Backhaul
Each M3000S unit is equipped with two Gigabit Ethernet ports. This gives you maximum freedom. Use the ports on the satellite unit to connect devices like your gaming PC or Smart TV directly with an Ethernet Switch or cable and benefit from a latency-free connection. Or, for ultimate performance, connect the two mesh nodes to each other with a LAN cable (Ethernet backhaul). This way, you can bypass even the thickest reinforced concrete walls and ensure that the full speed of your internet connection is available at every point.

What's the difference between wireless and Ethernet backhaul, and which is better for me?
Imagine the 'backhaul' as the invisible highway between your two mesh points. With a wireless backhaul, they communicate with each other wirelessly—super simple. But if you have thick walls or want the absolute maximum speed and stability, the Ethernet backhaul is your friend: you simply connect the two devices with an Ethernet Cable. Your M3000S can do both!
Can I set up a VPN connection for specific devices only with the M3000S?
Sure, that's one of the coolest features! You can easily establish a connection to your VPN provider via the integrated VPN client. Then, in the menu, you specify which of your devices (e.g., just your work laptop) should browse through the secure VPN tunnel, while all Others use the regular network.
Can I use the LAN ports on the second mesh point for my PC or console?
Of course! That's a huge advantage. Even if the second mesh point is only connected to the base via WiFi, its two Gigabit LAN ports work like a mini Ethernet Switch. Just connect your PC, PlayStation, or Smart TV with a cable and enjoy a super stable and fast connection.

Does the mesh system work well in my home with thick walls?
Thick walls are tricky for any WiFi, but that's exactly what mesh is made for! The M3000S performs very well thanks to Wi-Fi 6 and beamforming. The ultimate trick for maximum power with reinforced concrete is to connect the two mesh points with an Ethernet Cable (this is called Ethernet backhaul). This way, you completely bypass the wireless interference from the wall and get full speed in both locations.
