Your Network in the Fast Lane: True 2.5 Gbit/s on All Ports
No more data congestion! The Cudy HS105 is not an ordinary Ethernet Switch. It's your ticket to the multi-gigabit world. While conventional switches hit their limits at 1 Gbit/s, the HS105 offers you full 2.5-Gigabit speed on all five ports. This means you can transfer huge files from your NAS in record time, minimize latency in online gaming, and utilize the full bandwidth of your fiber optic connection. Simply connect your router, PC, console, or access point and experience how smooth a high-speed Network can be.
Robust, Cool, and Absolutely Silent: The Fanless Network Switch
A powerful network device doesn't have to be loud. The Cudy HS105 proves this impressively. Its housing is made of solid metal, which is not only extremely robust but also serves as a giant, passive heat sink. This clever design makes a fan unnecessary. The result: absolutely silent operation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Place it on your desk or in the living room – you won't hear it, you'll only feel its performance.
Smarter Than It Looks: Plug & Play with Smart Extras
Even though the HS105 (in V1.0) is designed as an 'unmanaged' switch, intelligent logic works for you on the inside. Thanks to Auto-MDI/MDIX, you don't have to worry about the right cable – it just works. The integrated Loop Detection recognizes if you accidentally create a network loop and thus prevents a complete network failure. Additionally, IGMP Snooping optimizes multicast traffic, which is particularly important for IPTV streams. This gives you a stable and efficient Multi-Gigabit Switch without complicated configuration.
The Right Version for You: Unmanaged (V1) vs. Easy-Managed (V3)
With the Cudy HS105, it's important to pay attention to the version. The classic version 1.0 is a pure Plug & Play champion – plug it in, and you're done. The newer version 3.0 goes a step further and, as an 'Easy-Managed' switch, offers a web interface for advanced functions. This allows you to set up VLANs, bundle ports (Link Aggregation), or control data traffic more precisely if needed. Moreover, the V3 is significantly more energy-efficient thanks to a more modern chipset. No matter which version you choose, 2.5G performance is guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I need special network cables to use the full 2.5 Gbit/s?
Yes, for a stable 2.5 Gbit/s connection, you need at least Cat 5e Ethernet Cables. For the best performance, we recommend Cat 6 or higher. With older Cabling, you might be slowed down to 1 Gbit/s.
Can I simply connect the Ethernet Switch to my existing router?
Of course, it's super easy! Connect one port of the Cudy switch to a LAN port on your router. All devices you connect to the other ports of the switch will then have full access to your network and the internet – and can communicate with each other at high speed.
Do I have to go through a complicated setup or configuration for the switch?
No, not at all! The 'Unmanaged' version is pure Plug & Play: just plug in the cables and you're good to go. You can use the 'Easy-Managed' version just as easily, but it also offers a web interface for professional settings, should you ever need them.
Does the switch get hot during operation because it has a metal Enclosure?
The metal Enclosure is clever because it acts as a silent heat sink. So, it's normal for it to feel warm as it dissipates heat. However, the newer versions are even cooler and more energy-efficient thanks to more efficient chips.
Does the switch make my internet faster?
Not directly. The switch doesn't increase the speed you get from your provider. But it ensures that the full power of your connection, especially with plans over 1 Gbit/s, actually reaches your devices. Most importantly, it speeds up data transfer within your home network, for example, between your PC and your NAS storage.
What's the difference between the HS105 and HS105U models?
The two are almost technically identical. The main difference is the Power Supply: the HS105U uses a modern USB-C port, while the HS105 has a classic power adapter. This makes you a bit more flexible in your choice of power source with the HS105U.
