Power & Control: Your 16-Port Gigabit Switch with PoE+
The TP-Link TL-SG1016PE is more than just a simple distributor. It is the intelligent control center for your growing Network. With 8 dedicated PoE+ ports and a generous total budget of 150 watts, you put an end to the chaos of additional power adapters. Connect your IP Cameras, WiFi Access Points, or VoIP phones directly and supply them with power and data via the Ethernet Cable. This not only ensures a clean installation but also gives you the flexibility to place devices exactly where you need them – regardless of the nearest power outlet.
Intelligent Management for Your Small Network
Do you want to segment your Network to increase security or prioritize data traffic for important applications like video streaming? No problem! As a Managed Switch for Small Networks, the TL-SG1016PE offers you exactly the right tools without overwhelming you with unnecessary complexity. Via the intuitive, web-based interface or the configuration utility, you can set up VLANs (Virtual LANs), configure Quality of Service (QoS), and monitor the status of your network in no time. This way, you get maximum performance and stability from your infrastructure.
Stable Power Supply for Cameras, APs, and More
Reliability is everything. The TL-SG1016PE was developed precisely for this. Its intelligent protection mechanisms ensure smooth continuous operation. PoE port prioritization ensures that your most important devices are always supplied during high utilization by shutting down the port with the lowest priority if an overload threatens. Another clever feature is PoE Auto Recovery: The Ethernet Switch automatically detects when a connected PoE device is no longer responding and restarts it independently. This saves you time and minimizes network outages.
Robust, Flexible, and Ready to Use
The solid metal housing not only protects the high-quality technology inside but also ensures efficient heat dissipation. Whether you place the switch on your desk or professionally mount it in a 19-inch cabinet – it looks good everywhere. Thanks to Auto-MDI/MDIX on all ports, you don't have to worry about the correct cable type. Although it offers powerful management functions, the switch also works as a plug-and-play device right out of the box. Simply connect and get started!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the default IP address of the TL-SG1016PE for accessing the web interface?
The default IP address of the switch is 192.168.0.1. To access it, your computer must be manually configured to an IP address in the same subnet (e.g., 192.168.0.10) with the subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
Can I also connect non-PoE devices to the PoE ports (1-8)?
Yes, absolutely. The PoE ports automatically detect whether a connected device is PoE-capable. If a non-PoE device, such as a PC or printer, is connected, the port functions as a normal Gigabit data port without supplying power.
What happens if I request more than 150 watts of power from the PoE ports?
The switch activates its overload protection function. Thanks to port prioritization (Port 1 has the highest, Port 8 the lowest priority), the switch will shut down the port with the lowest priority to keep the total power consumption below 150 watts.
Is the switch Plug-and-Play or do I need to configure it?
The switch functions as an unmanaged Plug-and-Play switch right out of the box. For using advanced features like VLANs, QoS, or Port Mirroring, configuration via the web interface is required.
What is the difference between this 'Easy Smart' switch and an 'Unmanaged' or 'Fully Managed' switch?
An 'Unmanaged' switch has no configuration options. An 'Easy Smart' switch like this offers basic management functions (VLAN, QoS) via a simple web interface. A 'Fully Managed' switch offers much deeper configuration options and is aimed at complex enterprise networks.
How do I reset the switch to factory settings?
On the front of the device, there is a recessed 'Reset' button. Press and hold this button with a pointed object for at least five seconds while the switch is powered on to reset it to factory settings.
