The Poynting A-ADPT-024-V2 adapter consists of a flat plastic pad with a 50 cm cable that terminates in an SMA female connector. The plastic sleeve, which looks like a mobile phone battery, is placed on or stuck to the back of a device (e.g., a phone or mobile hotspot). It passively couples with the device's internal antenna signal and transfers it to the adapter's external antenna connector. This allows you to use a powerful external antenna, which can lead to a significant signal improvement.
The external antenna can be mounted on the outside of a building and pointed towards the nearest cell tower to ensure good reception. The adapter is placed on the upper back side of the device. A small piece of Velcro is supplied to ensure a more secure connection to your device.
