The Mikrotik Wireless Wire CubeG-5ac60adpair consists of two pre-paired endpoint devices and offers a point-to-point connection (PtP) with up to 2 Gbit data throughput - using 802.11ad technology. A 5GHz fallback module with 802.11ac technology is available for security.
The 60 GHz connection is highly directional and any obstacle in the line of sight, including rain, can reduce the signal level. In this case, to maintain connectivity, the Bridge can switch to the 5GHz connection. 5GHz propagates better and uses radio wave reflections and refractions more effectively, although it offers a lower maximum throughput.
The weatherproof, robust design allows for outdoor installation.
